Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the Dr. Irana Gorchiyeva mobile application (the "App"). The App provides appointment-support features, pregnancy and menstrual-cycle tools, health-related calculators and logs, educational content, and related profile features.

This policy is intended to satisfy App Store privacy requirements and to describe our practices under applicable privacy and data-protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") where it applies.

You can browse public articles, guides, doctor and service information, and use educational calculators without creating an account. While you use the App as a guest, calculator and cycle-estimate inputs are processed on your device and are not sent to Sfera Manager or linked to an account. Guest inputs are temporary and are discarded when the App process ends or local account data is cleared. If you later choose an account-only save or reminder action, the App explains why sign-in is required before uploading information.

1. Who We Are

The data controller for the App is:

Uzm. Dr. Irana Gorchiyeva
2 Mehdi Abbasov, Baku 1060, Azerbaijan
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +994 50 611 00 87

If the App is operated by Sfera Media on behalf of Uzm. Dr. Irana Gorchiyeva or her clinic, the relevant clinic/doctor entity may also receive and use appointment and patient-related information in order to provide requested services.

For privacy requests, contact us at [email protected].

2. Important Medical Notice

The App is designed for informational, educational, and appointment-support purposes. It may show pregnancy, menstrual-cycle, BMI, blood sugar, blood pressure, and ultrasound due-date calculations based on information you enter.

The App does not diagnose, treat, prescribe medication, replace medical advice, or provide emergency care. The App is not intended to be a regulated medical device. Decisions about diagnosis, treatment, medication, pregnancy care, or urgent symptoms should always be made with a qualified healthcare professional.

If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information created when you use the App, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Account and Profile Information

When you register, sign in, or update your profile, we may collect:

Full name
Email address
Phone number, only if you choose to add it
Date of birth, only if you choose to add it
Password and authentication information
Profile picture, if you choose to upload one
Preferred language and app settings

Only your full name, email address, and password are required to create an account. Phone number, date of birth, and profile picture are optional and can be left blank or removed later.

We do not store your plain-text password. Passwords should be processed and stored by the backend service using appropriate security measures.

Appointment Information

When you request, create, view, or cancel an appointment, we may collect:

Selected appointment date and time
Booking status
Cancellation status or reason, if provided
Optional comments or notes you enter
Appointment history linked to your account

Health and Wellness Information You Choose to Save

The App allows you to enter and save health-related information. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

Menstrual-cycle setup information, such as last menstruation date, cycle length, bleeding duration, luteal phase length, regularity, and reminders
Menstrual-cycle logs, including bleeding, symptoms, pain, energy, mood, fertile signs, and personal notes
Pregnancy tracker setup information, such as last menstruation date, cycle length, estimated due date, pregnancy week, trimester, and pregnancy progress
Ultrasound due-date inputs, such as ultrasound date and fetal measurement week/day
BMI inputs and results, including height, weight, BMI value, and BMI category
Blood sugar and blood pressure logs, including values, dates, times, measurement context, notes, and status labels
Saved calculator results and timestamps

Health-related information may be considered sensitive personal data or consumer health data under applicable law. We process this information only to provide the features you choose to use, to sync your profile across devices where applicable, and to support your requested care or appointment-related interactions.

Using a calculator as a guest does not save these inputs to an account. Health and wellness information is uploaded only after you sign in and choose a feature or action that saves logs, history, tracking information, or reminders.

Content and Activity Information

We may collect or store:

Articles you like while signed in
Reviews or ratings you submit
Recent search terms saved to your account while signed in
General app statistics connected to your account, such as booking count, review count, or liked article count

Notification Information

If you sign in and enable notifications, we may process an Expo push token, device identifier, platform, App version, locale, time zone, notification preferences, delivery status, and notification history. Notification devices are registered only for authenticated users. Local reminder schedules are stored on the device and are cancelled when you sign out or delete your account.

Photos, Camera, and Device Permissions

If you choose to upload or change your profile picture, the App may request access to your camera or photo library. We use this permission only for the action you request. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

The App may use your device's biometric authentication feature, such as Face ID or fingerprint, if you enable biometric login. Biometric authentication is handled by your device operating system. We do not receive or store your biometric templates.

Technical Information

When the App communicates with our backend services, standard technical information may be processed, such as:

IP address
Device and operating system information
App version
Request dates and times
Authentication tokens
Error logs and security logs

This information is used to operate, secure, debug, and improve the App. The App does not use third-party advertising or tracking technologies unless this policy is updated to describe them.

4. How We Use Information

We do not use your health-related information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

Contractual necessity: to provide the App features and account services you request.
Consent and explicit consent: for optional health-related information, profile photo upload, camera/photo access, biometric login, and other optional features where consent is required.
Legitimate interests: to secure the App, prevent abuse, maintain service reliability, improve functionality, and respond to support requests.
Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulatory requests, or legal claims.

You may withdraw consent for optional processing at any time by changing App settings, deleting optional data where available, or contacting us. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

6. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed to provide and operate the App, support requested services, or comply with law.

We may share information with:

The doctor, clinic, or authorized healthcare/administrative staff for appointment management and user-requested service support
Sfera Manager / Sfera Media systems used to store App account data, custom fields, content, bookings, and related operational data
Hosting, storage, infrastructure, and technical service providers that help run the App and backend services
App Store and platform providers where required for distribution, app review, crash/security handling, or platform compliance
Legal, regulatory, or safety authorities if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security

Service providers are expected to protect personal information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share health-related information with third-party advertising networks for targeted advertising.

7. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in the country where you live and in other countries where we, our service providers, or backend systems operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws from your country.

Where GDPR applies and personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism when required, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the App, maintain your account, support appointment records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

In general:

Account information is kept while your account remains active.
Appointment information, ratings, article likes, notification data, and saved health-related logs and custom fields are kept while your account remains active or until you remove them where an individual removal feature is available.
Security and technical logs are kept for a limited period needed for security, debugging, and legal compliance.
Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted according to backup procedures.

You can permanently delete your account in the App under Settings > Security > Delete account. Account deletion removes your profile, credentials, saved health data, bookings, ratings and review text, article likes, notification devices and history, and other account-owned records from the active service. A limited deletion audit containing the tenant identifier, deleted user identifier, deletion source, and timestamp may be retained for security and accountability. You can also contact [email protected] for privacy requests.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include authenticated API access, access controls, secure transmission, restricted administrative access, and operational monitoring.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for protecting access to your device.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

Request access to personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of your personal information
Request restriction of processing
Object to certain processing
Request a copy of your information in a portable format
Withdraw consent for optional processing
Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some requests may be limited where we need to retain information for legal, security, medical-record, or legitimate business reasons.

11. Children and Minors

The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

If a minor uses the App for health-related information, they should do so with involvement from a parent, guardian, or qualified healthcare professional where required by law.

12. Apple Health, HealthKit, and Device Health Data

The App does not currently read from or write to Apple Health or HealthKit. If this changes, we will update this policy and request any required permissions before accessing Apple Health data.

13. Automated Processing

The App may calculate dates, weeks, categories, ranges, and educational status labels based on the information you enter. These calculations are informational and do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. They are not medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App or by another reasonable method.

Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy, unless additional consent is required by law.
